A matched pair cut from limestone, 5 inches tall, 8 pounds each. The weight is the part that decides whether a bookend works or slides.
Both halves of a pair are cut from the same block, so their grain and colour match each other even though no two pairs match. The L-profile puts most of the mass behind the shelf line rather than in front of it.
Honed and unsealed, felt-backed so they do not mark a shelf.
