Spun aluminium shade over a recessed opal glass diffuser, 16 inches across. Hangs anywhere from 12 to 48 inches on a cloth cord cut to length at install.
The diffuser is the reason the shade is shallow. Set at dining height, a bare bulb in a dome this wide would sit in the eyeline of anyone across the table. The opal glass takes the glare out without taking the light with it.
Spun from a single disc rather than pressed in halves, so there is no seam around the rim.
