In detail
Hand-blown opal glass on a machined aluminium base, 11 inches tall. The glass diffuses a bare bulb directly, so there is no shade to line up and no seam to face away from the room.
Each globe is blown individually. Wall thickness varies by a fraction between pieces, which shows as a faint shift in how evenly the glass lights.
The base is machined from a single billet and anodised, not painted. It will not chip at the edge where it meets a table.
