In detail
Opal glass dome on a slim powder-coated rim, 14 inches across, mounted flush. It sits 4.5 inches down from the ceiling, for rooms where a pendant would be at head height.
Two sockets rather than one. At this diameter a single bulb lights the centre of the glass brighter than its edge, and the dome reads as a hotspot instead of a surface.
The rim stays on the ceiling when the dome comes off, so changing a bulb does not mean holding the glass and the fixing at the same time.
